Tui has set out its plans to offer flights to the Cape Verde islands from Doncaster Sheffield and Stansted airports for the very first time next winter.
Winter sun flights to Boa Vista, one of ten islands that comprise the Atlantic archipelago off the coast of west Africa, will get under way next November.
Tui’s Stansted-Boa Vista route will operate once a week on Thursdays, starting 4 November 2021, while its Doncaster Sheffield route will operate every Saturday from 6 November 2021.
It will also restore flight and holiday options to Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt from both airports.
Robert Hough, chairman of Doncaster Sheffield owner Peel Airports, said Tui’s decision to launch a Boa Vista route from the airport, as well as retain its Florida and Cancun routes, cemented its place as the "home of long-haul in Yorkshire".
Seven-night all-inclusive Cape Verde holidays departing Doncaster Sheffield next December lead in from £903pp, including transfers, and are based on two adults sharing.
