The travel giant said the expanded team is “testament to the global travel and leisure company’s commitment to support UK travel agents in selling Tui products”. The team will report into Tui head of trade relations Andrew Isherwood.
Among the new team members are four trade relations managers, who will cover the “length and breadth of the country” to ensure agents have the knowledge and tools they need to sell Tui products.
UK and Ireland chief marketing officer Neil Swanson said: “The new Tui trade team is ready to hit the ground running and get out meeting independent agents ahead of the turn of year booking period.”
He added: “This isn’t just for Christmas, it’s a long-term commitment and we are here to stay.”
Swanson confirmed the Tui team were working on 2024 plans to ensure they are building “strong and sustainable relationships with our independent agent partners”.
Senior trade relations manager Holly Wood will oversee the new regional travel managers, including Gavin Enever, trade relations manager – north; Craig Moffat, trade relations manager – Scotland; Kerri Rasberry, trade relations manager – Midlands; and Siobhan Bosket, trade relations manager – Northern Ireland.
Tui has also invested in trade relations support reporting to trade relations support manager Hayley Vaughan. Trade relations executives – David Shelford, Corrie Edwards and Kirsty Reid – have also joined the team.
The final new addition to the team is Tui training delivery manager Deborah Crannage who will be responsible for agent training requirements across the UK.
The team will be supported by the four-strong Marella Cruises trade team led by senior trade relations manager Steven Heath.
“We have put a lot of time and investment into building an industry leading trade team. We can’t wait to get out there and further support our agent partners,” added Swanson.
