The carrier operated repatriation flights last year, and secured slots at Heathrow earlier this year with a view to operating a regular service to and from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Late last month, Bamboo flight QH9051 – the airline’s first non-repatriation flight to London – arrived at Heathrow.
Bamboo is hopeful of establishing a regular direct service by the end of the year, pending government approval.
An initial six-times-weekly service could then extend to a daily service next year "according to market demand", the carrier confirmed at an event in Edinburgh at the weekend ahead of Cop26.
Chair Trinh Van Quy said the routes would strengthen trade and investment ties between the UK and Vietnam.
General sales agent, APG UK, will represent Bamboo in the UK.
Bamboo will operate the routes using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, with flights taking between 12 to 13 hours, saving around seven hours transit time.
TTG has approached Bamboo and APG for more information.
