Services will initially operate on Tuesday and Saturday, with an additional Thursday flight from December. Wizz Air plans to operate the route five times a week from next April, with one-way fares from £39.99.
Wizz Air UK managing director Marion Geoffroy said: “We are delighted to be restarting our flights from London Luton to Tel Aviv, so that our customers can once again enjoy the delicious food, rich culture and breath-taking sights of the city.
“Whether it’s a short city break, a relaxing holiday over the Christmas period, or a trip to kick-start the new year, Tel Aviv has something to offer for everyone.”
Visitors to Israel must present proof of vaccine administered at least 14 days before departure. They must also take a PCR test up to 72 hours before an outbound flight and fill out a passenger declaration form before entering Israel.
On arrival, tourists must perform another PCR test and remain in isolation until a negative result is obtained for up to 24 hours.
