Virgin Voyages has revealed a competition giving away 2,021 free cruises this year to people “who have impacted our lives meaningful ways”.
Launching on Valentine’s Day, the line’s Shipload of Love campaign asks the public to nominate their “personal heroes” who will be rewarded with a trip onboard Scarlet Lady.
Nominations for the first 1,000 free places open on 14 February, which also marks the one-year anniversary of the delivery of Scarlet Lady, Virgin Voyages’ first ship.
Nominators must submit a short video, sharing their personal nomination, demonstrating why their nominee should sail. Submissions will be accepted through to 16 March.
Participants are also encouraged to “share the love” across their social media channels for additional cabin giveaways over the next few weeks.
For its inaugural season later this year, Scarlet Lady will offer Caribbean itineraries with stops at Virgin Voyages private island, The Beach Club at Bimini.
The line said it would also soon share an update on the name of its third vessel and which itineraries it would be sailings.
