The hybrid event, with both live and virtual elements, is sponsored by Google, Intrepid Travel and the University of Surrey.
Day one of the summit is a primarily invitation only evening for media and corporate travel brands, and will feature the findings of a research project undertaken with the University of Surrey to understand UK black, Asian and minority ethnic travellers.
Day two is an all-day virtual workshop for content creators, influencers and travel entrepreneurs, with a focus on learning new skills with workshops on building personal brands, creating content on YouTube and panel discussions.
Speakers include author and content creator Lola Akerstrom and head of joint ventures and commercial planning for Virgin Atlantic, Patrice Gordon, who will be delivering keynote addresses on both days.
Women in Travel has also partnered with Intrepid to give two content creators the opportunity to join a creator retreat in Morocco in spring 2022.
Creators have been invited to send a 30 second video answering the question "why do you think you are an Intrepid traveller?". The winners will be announced on day two of the Summit.
Jamie-Lee Abtar, the multicultural community lead for Women in Travel, said the event allows brands to "adapt to the new travel environment and better cater for black and Asian travellers".
"Destinations and brands are realising the power of influencer marketing, particularly of diverse nano-influencers who don’t necessarily have huge followings but have extremely high engagement reflecting the fact that the black, Asian and minority communities likes to extract travel knowledge from their peers," she added.
"The workshop gives content creators access to the experts and the opportunity to hone and develop their skills."
