Enrique Martin del Campo, RCD Hotels’ vice-president of business development, said the new 639-room Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos – which opened its doors in July – features eight swimming pools, eight restaurants and both adult and family areas.
He added with Tui introducing direct flights from Gatwick to Los Cabos on Mexico’s Pacific coast in time for the winter season, the all-inclusive resort is set for strong sales.
Del Campo said: “It was hard for customers to reach the destination but fortunately now Tui is launching its Los Cabos flights, we’ll be able to attract a lot of attention.”
He argued those visiting the resort will find its surroundings very different from those on Mexico’s eastern Caribbean coast, adding: “There are mountains, deserts and the beach.”
However, he said the area is becoming increasingly well known, especially after celebrities including Cameron Diaz and George Clooney have been spotted holidaying there.
Del Campo also argued the increasing familiarity of the Hard Rock brand in the UK will also help drive sales.
He said: “A lot of people only think of the restaurant chain but the brand has been expanding into other areas and the expansion [of our hotels] into Europe has also helped.”
Del Campo added he would also use the event to highlight changes being made at Hard Rock’s three other Mexican properties.
They include a new bowling alley at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, which will also receive an entertainment boost when Cirque de Soleil performs its Bazzar show at the property from 29 January to 23 February 2020.
