The new Selling Guide launched on 17 March as the island of Ireland – and the rest of the world – celebrated St Patrick's Day.
Julie Wakley, Tourism Ireland’s head of Great Britain, said the guide has been designed "as a one-stop shop for all things Ireland, equipping agents with real Ireland expertise". It contains essential information, including details on entry requirements and currency, alongside useful destination maps. It also provides detailed information on how your clients can get to Ireland, whether they choose to fly or travel by ferry.
Trade partners can also learn about the destination's six unique regions, with options to suit all client types. There's also key information about the best time to go, suggested itineraries, what's on, advice on responsible travel as well as the marketing support and training available from Tourism Ireland.
Wakley said: “St Patrick’s Day shines a light on the island of Ireland and provides us with an excellent opportunity to showcase the destination’s extensive tourism offering to visitors from across Great Britain, making now the perfect time to launch the Ireland Selling Guide.
“With a wealth of iconic attractions and unique experiences, a thriving cultural and culinary scene, great air and sea connectivity enabling quick and hassle-free access, and of course, a globally renowned friendly welcome, the island of Ireland has an abundance to offer visitors from Great Britain. The guide will help ensure agents have all of the best information and top tips to hand.”
