The primely located Louis Imperial Beach is set to undergo a striking two-phase renovation over the next two years, seeing it transform into the Imperial Island Resort.
Following the completion of the first major phase, the hotel will initially reopen for guests from May 2026. Phase two will then take place, with the entire property being fully completed by April 2027.
With elegant new interiors, elevated dining experiences and an extensive waterpark, Imperial Island is set to become one of Cyprus’s most premium, all-inclusive family resorts.
Total transformation
As part of phase one restoration work, the hotel’s rooms and suites will be stylishly refurbished, creating soothing, comfortable spaces for guests to unwind. Each room will feature either a terrace or balcony – with sea or island views – plus premium touches like Egyptian-cotton bedding, bathrobes and luxury beauty products. Leaning further into the family market, over half of the hotel’s capacity will be converted into fully equipped family suites with sliding doors.
The renovation extends throughout the property, with the reception, restaurants, spa and gym all receiving significant upgrades. The former ballroom will return as a modern entertainment venue, complete with state-of-the-art equipment and a DJ booth.
Outside, the pool area will be decked out with brand-new sunbeds and umbrellas. The hotel gardens will be relandscaped, and a romantic new wedding gazebo will be added – perfect for clients wanting to tie the knot with a glowing Cyprus sunset as their backdrop.
Amenities for all
With its wide-ranging amenities, the hotel offers something for every type of guest. Families in particular will be spoilt for choice – especially after phase two of restoration work is complete. Expect a thrilling waterpark with multiple slides, two new family pools and a dedicated kids’ pool with interactive water features for little ones.
Ready for the hotel’s opening in May 2026 will be a brand-new kids’ club with outdoor softplay, and a teens’ club designed for older children to hang out and play video games.
The hotel is also ideal for couples and groups of friends. Whether it's relaxing by the pool or on the beach, indulging in a treatment at the Imperial Island Spa or keeping active in the gym, the facilities offer a restorative getaway for adults.
A prime coastal location
The resort’s coastal setting provides easy access to a selection of beaches, for days spent soaking in the sun and sea. Right on the hotel’s doorstep is Pachyammos – a tourist-friendly strip with clear waters, lifeguarded during the summer. Alternatively, a 30-minute drive brings guests to Coral Bay, a 500-metre stretch of sand regarded as one of the region’s most beautiful beaches. Nearby, the Amphitheatre Diving Site offers incredible underwater adventures for ocean-loving guests.
Beyond the beaches, Paphos is a treasure trove of ancient history. The local archeological museum is home to artefacts dating from the Neolithic Age to 1700 AD. Guests can also visit Paphos’ charming harbour for its medieval fort, built during the Byzantine period.
Culinary delights
Guests opting for the premium all-inclusive package will enjoy unlimited access to the hotel’s dining options.
The newly renovated main restaurant will serve buffet meals with entertaining live-cooking stations and nightly themed dinners, along with a dedicated kids’ menu. Guests who enjoy slow mornings will appreciate the later breakfast service, available until 12pm.
Two themed restaurants can also be found onsite. Fiki Japanese Fusion serves a vibrant mix of Asian dishes – from sushi rolls to sweet-and-sour duck. Meanwhile, Pygmalion Handmade Burgers offers an a la carte menu of gourmet burgers with brioche buns made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
For light bites and refreshments throughout the day, the hotel will also feature a brand-new pool bar and snackeria, serving unlimited hot and cold snacks and delicacies throughout the day.
The Imperial Island Resort, Paphos is available for stays from 3 May 2026.
