When it comes to Sani Resort – the five-star sanctuary set within 1,000 acres of ecological reserve on a private Halkidiki peninsula – there’s little Janette Healey doesn’t know. She’s been selling the resort for 19 years, and is now an official Sani Resort Ambassador.
“I will only offer something to my clients that I’d enjoy myself, and the first time I went to Sani, I fell in love with the concept. There’s nowhere else like it,” she explains.
Expert knowledge
This stunning escape in northern Greece spans five hotels and a marina, and over the years Janette has visited 45 times. Only two of these have been on fam trips, while the rest have all been personal holidays. She’s enjoyed family trips with her daughter when she was younger, through to holidaying together as adults, as well as solo visits.
Janette normally makes at least one Sani booking a day, with most totalling between £15,000 and £20,000. However her largest-ever booking came in at £167,000, for a group of six. “The thing for agents to remember, is that while this might not be their normality, it is for some clients,” she explains. “I offer the same level of concierge service that Sani offers, so from the moment someone enquires, they get the same level of service they would expect from Sani, and I'm lucky to have some really incredible clients.”
Most of her customers opt for the Sani Suite Collection. This spans one, two and three-bedroom suites across the five hotels, with an enhanced set of guest benefits for 2026, including a dedicated concierge team, priority reservations for dining and activities, access to an exclusive beach area and a complimentary Kids’ Supper Club. In-suite comforts include a la carte in-room dining, Anne Semonin bath amenities, upgraded towels, a personalised pillow menu and laundry service. Guests also enjoy complimentary airport transfers, in-resort transportation with Volvo vehicles and private chauffeur driven tours of the Kassandra Peninsula.
Getting to know Sani
“Five hotels in one resort can confuse agents”, Janette explains, “as they don’t always understand the layout and what’s involved. But it’s key to understand your client’s needs and budget first, before you can match them to the right hotel, as each one has a different audience”.
Here, Janette shares an introduction to each of Sani’s five hotels:
Sani Beach: "This is the lead-in hotel, and the largest and busiest. It’s very popular with families, so expect lots of children playing around the pool, but couples really enjoy it too. Accommodation is set across five floors with amazing views, and it’s well located, set across two beaches, with two pools and a kids’ club."
Sani Club: "Another family favourite, this is in the most beautiful location, built into the side of the hill, overlooking the bay. All rooms and public areas have undergone a refurbishment ready for the 2026 season, and rooms are very spacious, set across three floors, some with private pools. It has a kids’ club as well as an adults-only areas, so it’s a good option for couples and multi-generational families."
Sani Dunes: "This is my second top-selling hotel at Sani. It’s a beachfront hotel, next to the resort’s marina. A lot of my couples and families with older children go here, as teens like to explore the marina and hire bikes. It’s the resort’s newest hotel, and I was actually the very first person to check-in when it opened in 2017! It has the largest pool, and rooms are very spacious, set across two floors, with beautiful private gardens and pool or sea views. New for the 2026 season, a Beach Pop Up bar and area is opening next to Sani Dunes, which will be perfect for a relaxed day by the sea."
Porto Sani: "This is an amazing hotel for high-net-worth families, it’s like a land of luxury for small people! Located on the marina, there’s a splash park, kids’ club, a selection of pools and the activity programme is so well thought through. Every detail has been considered for families across the accommodation, and there are lots of special touches – I love the ice cream cart that comes around, and when watermelon slices are handed out by the pool."
Sani Asterias: "This is my top seller and it’s the most exclusive, with a very personal, calm, gated environment. It’s popular with affluent families, and over the last two years the hotel has undergone an extensive refurbishment, including the public areas, introducing stunning residences and adding private pools to the beachfront and marina residences and villas. While there isn’t a kids' club, guests tend to use the one at nearby Porto Sani."
Client matching
For clients seeking a high-end, luxury summer holiday, Janette believes Sani is the obvious choice. It's fully open by the end of April and closes at the end of the October half term, with most of Janette’s clients visiting between mid-June and mid-September.
She says: “I would never suggest a client goes to the Caribbean in July or August, as why would they want to get on a 10-hour flight, when you've got the luxury of Sani right on your doorstep? It's a three-and-a-half-hour flight from London and then the transfer from the airport is so easy and straightforward, it works really well.”
She continues: “At Sani guests have every element of luxury they could possibly want. They've got the a la carte choices, the different choices of restaurants, with many Michelin-starred menus and fabulous wine lists. Then they’ve got all the activities, such as the Bear Grylls Survival Academy, the Chelsea Foundation Football Academy, the KTM Biking Academy, and the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center, the Sani Treetop Adventure and the nature reserve… the list is endless. Then they’ve also got the spas, water sports elements and boat trips. And more!”
Many of Janette’s clients who visit Sani each summer tend to then holiday in the Maldives, Barbados, Antigua and St Lucia in the winter. She says agents who are already booking these winter long-haul holidays for their clients could suggest Sani for a summer holiday. “Once clients have been to Sani, they will return time and time again, so you will have a good repeat customer once you’ve tempted them in. There’s no place like Sani, it’s like home for a lot of people.”
