The collaboration will see ITT Future You join Mosaic's "Mosaic Works" programme, which supports LGBTQ+ young people aged 15 to 25 as they move from education into employment. Further details of the partnership will be unveiled at next week's ITT conference in Malaga.
The partnership is designed to break down barriers faced by LGBTQ+ young people entering the workplace, while encouraging travel businesses to create more inclusive pathways into the industry through placements, mentorship and employability initiatives.
ITT Future You said the programme would focus on improving visibility and access to careers in travel through work placements and insight days, while also helping young people build confidence during the recruitment process. "We recognise that for many LGBTQ+ young people, that bridge between education and industry can feel harder to cross," the organisation said.
"Through this partnership, we are encouraging travel professionals to support the next generation by providing the hands-on experience and confidence needed to build fulfilling careers where they can succeed authentically."
Industry professionals will also be invited to act as career mentors, offering informal guidance and real-world career insight across travel, tourism and aviation.
ITT Future You said the partnership comes as the sector continues to sharpen its focus on diversity, recruitment and attracting younger talent into the industry.
The organisation is now calling on travel and tourism businesses to support the initiative by joining the Mosaic Works programme and offering mentoring or workplace opportunities.
