The Cambridgeshire shop, founded by Clare Dudley in 2010, has always been a licensee of Fred Olsen Travel and will continue to operate under the Ponders Travel brand going forward.
Ponders Travel is Fred Olsen Travel's 24th retail shop and 11th premises in East Anglia.
All five Ponders Travel team members have transferred across to Fred Olsen Travel, including Dudley who joins as business development manager.
Dudley described the news as a "hugely positive step" for Ponders Travel, which is "very much here to stay".
"This transition means I can step back from the operational side and focus on what I truly love: helping people plan incredible holidays and delivering the personal, thoughtful service that Ponders Travel is known for," she added. "Our customers will be in exceptionally safe hands."
Fred Olsen Travel has fallen slightly short of its ambitious growth plans, with retail director Paul Hardwick previously outlining plans to open 25 branches by 2025. Nevertheless, managing director Julie Berry expressed her "delight" at the news.
"We have always enjoyed a strong partnership with Ponders Travel operating as one of our licensees over the years and now look forward to continuing this relationship," she said.
"Their commitment to offering exceptional service and truly understanding the needs of the customers aligns very much with our own values at Fred Olsen Travel, and we are grateful for Clare’s trust in us as we proudly take Ponders Travel onto its next chapter."
