Avison started her career with the walking and rail specialist assisting its founders Richard and Linda Hearn; she went on to serve as Finance Director and also General Manager over more than 30 years.

Inntravel, which was part of Hotelplan UK before it was acquired by Kuoni parent Dertour last year, became B Corp certified in 2025 and recertified earlier this year under B Lab's more rigorous assessment.

Avison also had a spell away from Inntravel working in a group finance role with Hotelplan. Reflecting on her promotion, Avison said: "I feel immense pride and a sense of achievement. Having worked here for nearly 30 years, I’ve seen a lot of change and evolution.

"I had the privilege of working with the founders and the opportunity to work with an amazing group of people and mentors who champion progression. I really believe in this business. I want to continue to steer Inntravel on a positive trajectory and be a champion of our people, our partners, and our customers.”
