Cross, Jet2holidays general manager – trade, last month revealed he would be leaving the operator after 13 years.
He confirmed on Tuesday (2 September) he would be joining Gulf Air Holidays as the Bahrain-based airline seeks to build a tour operation.
Cross will be involved in launching Gulf Air Holidays to the UK trade.
Gulf Air began flying from Gatwick three times a week in March, and plans to use its network of routes to destinations like India, Thailand and Australia to build a leisure arm.
Cross said: “I’m very excited to share that I’ll be joining Gulf Air Holidays as Europe agency sales director in the coming weeks, which we’ll be launching to the trade in no time. I can’t wait to share more soon.”
Cross was a member of the TTG 30 Under 30 class of 2020/21 and currently sits on the board of the Institute of Travel and Tourism.
