Reporting to sales director Debbie Sowden, the operator said Edwards would deliver a "major" new trade programme featuring more fam trips, including additional "wilderness" and "immersive" fams, new trade marketing tools and assets, and additional virtual and in-person agent training.
The new year will also see Not in the Guidebooks expand its offering across several "core destinations" such as Sri Lanka, Morocco, Costa Rica and Lapland.
Edwards, who started her travel career aged 16 as a Tui modern apprentice, joins Not in the Guidebooks from her role as sales manager at Scenic and Emerald Cruises UK.
She has also previously held posts with Polka Dot Travel and If Only, while her first "on-the-road" role was with Jet2holidays.
"We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Vicky to the team," said Sowden. "Her background across retail, touring and cruise, combined with her natural relationship-building skills, make her a perfect fit for Not in the Guidebooks."
Edwards added: "I’m thrilled to be joining Not in the Guidebooks at such an exciting time. Experiencing our Morocco product first-hand on a recent fam trip really brought the brand to life for me. The hosts, the food, the unique stays; everything felt so genuine.
"I can’t wait to get out on the road, meet more agents, and help share these incredible experiences across the UK and Ireland."
Edwards joins Not in the Guidebooks after former business development manager Caroline Burroughs progressed into a newly created operations manager role within the company.
