The airline and operator said the shop, which will be designed to serve and inspire customers at every stage of their holiday journey, marked a major milestone in its retail expansion.
Battersea Power Station is one of London and the UK's most recognisable landmarks, sitting on the bank of the River Thames and featuring on the cover of Pink Floyd's 1977 album Animals with an inflatable pig flying overhead.
The Grade II listed building was refurbished over a 10-year period before reopening to the public in late 2022 and is now a major retail, leisure, entertainment, dining and residential space just south of Westminster.
Virgin Atlantic Holidays said customers would be able to tap its expertise across luxury escapes, multi-centres, family getaways and once-in-a-lifetime breaks, and take advice from its travel specialists to tailor their long-haul holiday ambitions.
It will support the launch with dedicated local marketing activity and partnerships following a summer takeover campaign, and is also on the lookout for salespeople to join the team.
Dave Geer, Virgin Atlantic's Chief Commercial Officer, said: "It's a landmark destination that perfectly reflects the ambition behind Virgin Atlantic Holidays as we continue to evolve our retail experience.
"We know that when customers are planning a significant holiday, there’s something special about sitting down with an expert who can inspire you, share their knowledge and help turn an idea into an unforgettable trip. Our Battersea Power Station flagship will bring that experience to life in a bold new way."
