Azamara will host 265 agents across three seminars at sea and a further "masterclass at sea", held in partnership with Clia. The seminars will take place onboard Azamara Quest in March and April during sailings from Seville to Malaga, with a call in Gibraltar.
Agents will gain first-hand experience of the brand and preview upcoming refurbishments as part of Azamara’s $80 million Azamara Forward programme, which was announced last week.
The first sailing, over 1-6 March, will host 25 agents and include an evening at St Michael’s Cave, a natural limestone cathedral within the Rock of Gibraltar. Two further sailings will follow over 10-13 April and 13-16 April, each hosting 80 agents.
Azamara will also host a three-night masterclass with Clia for a further 80 agents specialising in premium and luxury cruise sales. This sailing will depart Lisbon on 7 April.
The programme will include daily training sessions delivered by Clia and Azamara, plus "ship activities", entertainment and networking with senior leadership figures from the line.
"With 90% of our UK business coming through the trade, our commitment to UK agents is unwavering," said Azamara's director of sales Stuart Pearce, who added first-hand experience was "the most powerful way" for agents to sell the brand.
Agents can apply for places through Clia from Wednesday 28 January. Places are limited, so those wishing to participate are encouraged to register early. Room-sharing options are available to maximise attendance.
