EMEA vice-president and managing director Hawke is stepping up to the newly created role of vice-president international and will be responsible for all regions outside North America. He will report into the line’s president Laura Hodges Bethge.
EMEA senior sales director Stirrup will take the position of UK and EMEA managing director. She will take on the day-to-day responsibilities of Celebrity Cruises in the UK and EMEA, managing the sales, marketing and commercial teams.
Stirrup confirmed Celebrity is now actively recruiting for the senior director of sales, EMEA, and that she will still report into Hawke.
The premium ocean line, which recently announced plans to operate river cruises, said the move would enable it to “better position Celebrity Cruises to meet its strategic goals and respond to the evolving needs of the business”.
Stirrup added: “We’re in a great position as a brand, we have strong relationships with our incredible trade partners and a fleet of ships that are popular with guests around the world.
“Over the next 12 months, I want to ensure we’re building on those relationships with trade, bringing them with us as we launch our next Edge series ships and make our debut into river cruising.”
On Hawke’s promotion, Stirrup said the new role had been “created to further integrate teams working across Celebrity Cruises’ international markets and ensure a cohesive global approach to our international market strategy”.
“The move reflects the importance of the regions to the wider business,” she added.
