Anna, a family cruise specialist and founder of the Family Cruise Deals blog won the funding after taking part in the Celebrity Cruises Xcelerator Programme for Home-based Agents by TTG Media.
She plans to use the budget for a series of Facebook posts highlighting Celebrity’s premium onboard experiences, modern ships and the range of itineraries.
The campaign will focus on challenging the perception that Celebrity Cruises is primarily aimed at couples, while demonstrating why it can be a strong choice for families and groups spanning different generations.
“Celebrity offers a more premium style of cruising while still providing the space, flexibility and experiences that appeal to different generations travelling together,” she says.
The campaign will run across Anna’s Facebook business page and her Family Cruise Deals page. Facebook was chosen because it is where most of her audience engages with her content.
The Travel Counsellor hopes the funding will allow her posts to reach a much wider audience than they would organically, while introducing her business to potential new clients who may not previously have come across her pages.
The campaign builds on lessons Anna learned during the Celebrity Xcelerator social media workshop, which she says had given her greater confidence in her digital marketing strategy.
One of her biggest takeaways was the importance of creating content that starts conversations rather than simply promoting a product. Asking engaging questions, encouraging comments and sharing genuine personal experiences can help increase reach and build trust.
The workshop also reinforced the value of having a clear niche and personality online – a message that resonated with Anna’s position as a family cruise specialist.
“In a busy marketplace, standing out comes from understanding your audience and creating content that genuinely helps them,” she says.
Her new approach to social media has already helped strengthen her profile as a cruise specialist. One of her family cruise posts went viral on Facebook, reaching more than 150,000 people, while several others have performed significantly better than usual.
Anna is now looking forward to applying those lessons to her Celebrity campaign and showcasing a side of the brand that she believes many family travellers may not have previously considered.
“Celebrity Cruises has so much to offer families and multi-generational groups,” she says.
“I am excited to showcase why Celebrity should be considered by those looking for a more premium cruise experience.”
