The Chancery Rosewood has officially opened in London’s Grosvenor Square, marking the completion of a four-year-long renovation.
Located in the former US Embassy, the Grade II listed building offers four different room types and 144 suites.
The largest of its accommodation categories, ‘Houses’, has been named after prominent American figures like J.F. Kennedy, John Adams and renowned architect Eero Saarinen (who also designed the original building).
Meanwhile, its two penthouse suites, the Charles House and the Elizabeth House, will have terraces, dining rooms, kitchens and marble bathrooms. All guests will receive a VIP welcome, with the typical reception check-in replaced by a greeting upon arrival and a personal escorting to their suite.
The seven-floor property has eight restaurants and bars, including the first-ever European outpost of New York City’s Carbone and Tobi Masa, the London debut of three-Michelin-starred chef Masayoshi Takayama.
Guests can also dine at Serra, which specialises in southern Mediterranean cuisine, and Jacqueline, a refined tearoom led by pastry chef Marius Dufay. Meanwhile, casual fare is offered at GSQ, the hotel’s neighbourhood-style deli, while the Eagle Bar serves cocktails and snacks on its rooftop terrace.
Wellness facilities are found at the Asaya Spa, which hosts a 25-metre long pool, a sauna, a steam room, a cold plunge and five treatment suites. There is also a 24/7 fitness centre featuring exclusive Artis Luxury equipment by Technogym and a personal training studio.
Next door, the Taktouk Clinic offers bespoke skincare therapies designed by leading cosmetic dermatologist, Dr Wassim Taktouk.
Other highlights include flexible check-in and check-out and complimentary house car transfers. Guests staying in the signature suites or the houses will also have a private butler, with the latter category receiving access to the Windsor Suite at Heathrow Airport.
The Chancery Rosewood has also been selected as the venue for the TTG Luxury Travel Awards 2026, which will take place on 6th March. The prestigious ceremony, now in its eighth year, will once again partner with Silversea to recognise the industry’s finest suppliers and advisors.
