Getting romantic at Rose Cottage - our one concession to Valentines Day

And we couldn’t let Valentines Day slip past without at least one sickly sweet mention of what a hotel is up to; and believe me, we have already had one press release too many when it comes to “romantic” suggestions… Anyway …

One option that caught our eye if your clients are incurable romantics looking for somewhere to spend the weekend is the charming Rose Cottage at Dormy House in the Cotswolds, which as of February 10, will have its own private hot tub and courtyard garden added to the stand-alone suite.

The quintessentially English style of Rose Cottage is created by designers Todhunter Earle and includes pastel-coloured floral fabrics, exposed oak timber framing, original features and its own snug.

The cottage is part of Farncombe, a 400-acre private estate which also includes the main Dormy House hotel, which has been created around a 17th century farmhouse and includes two restaurants - The Potting Shed and The Garden Room - as well as House Spa, which is now offering Natura Bisse facials, in addition to its Veuve Clicquot Champagne Nail Parlour.

Standard rates for a weekend at Rose Cottage start from £440 per room per night, obviously based on two sharing (and including breakfast).

There endeth the romantic stuff on this site…
