A luxury travel advisor has seen a surge in enquiries after Coleen Nolan made a surprise announcement during a recent trip she arranged for the star.
Travelista founder Rebecca Murphy organised for the Loose Women presenter and her daughter, Ciara, to spend a week in Rhodes, Greece, marking the latest addition to her portfolio of celebrity clients.
Nolan’s brief was simple: a relaxing, all-inclusive luxury hotel on the beach. While this criteria could have been met by thousands of hotels, Murphy decided to select a property she had already vetted: Mitsis Faliraki. Having hosted a group of influencers at the five-star resort last October, she was confident that it would fit the bill.
The booking comes exactly one year after Murphy announced she had reached £100,000 in sales in the first four months of business, after leaving her job at Trending Travel as a celebrity travel specialist.
At the time, she vowed to build Travelista’s profile and increase its revenue by continuing to focus on famous clients.
The strategy has paid off; Murphy has already exceeded £250,000 in bookings in the past six months. She has now shared how powerful a celebrity shout-out can be for promotion – especially if that endorsement overlaps with a special announcement.
“Coleen revealed on Instagram that her daughter, Ciara, was pregnant during the holiday, so that just gave myself and Mitsis even more publicity,” Murphy told TTG Luxury.
Nolan also shared a carousel of photos that highlighted the hotel resort’s impressive offerings, which include seven themed restaurants and 20 freshwater pools. The post, which tagged both Travelista and Mitsis Faliraki, received over 15,000 likes and hundreds of comments.
Nolan also updated her fans on Instagram Stories, sharing facts about the property like its close proximity to the beach and its wide selection of vegan and vegetarian options.
It wasn’t long before Murphy was inundated with messages from new followers, all of whom were interested in booking a similar holiday.
Finding celebrities
Murphy hasn’t been shy about contacting high-profile people since launching Travelista in January 2024.
In the past year and a half, she has booked holidays for Anne Twist, also known as Harry Styles’ mum, ITV presenter Dr Ranj, and TV producer Mollie Grosberg.
She has also collaborated with influencers, sending Abbi Beaumount to Grecotel Luxme Dama Dama last month and Miah Carter to Nyx Hotel Ibiza last August.
Murphy credits her popularity with celebrities to her relationships with their agents, who have been able to vouch for her reputability as a travel advisor. Word of mouth is also key; many of her VIP clients have come through referrals.
Murphy says she “doesn’t understand” how her life has changed so much in the past 18 months, admitting it’s “surreal” to be organising the travel of celebrities and influencers. “This has been the most absurd year and a half of my life,” she said. “I can’t believe how busy I’ve been!”
Having never expected this level of success so soon, Murphy will likely hire “one or two homeworkers” in the near future.
“I think a lot of advisors would like to work for a company like this because it’s small, so there’s always the opportunity to manage the trip,” she said. “You could be going on holiday with your favourite celebrity!”
