Azure’s new homeworking agency has already received 30 applications after confirming it would allow advisors to keep “up to 100%’ of their commission.”
The luxury tour operator launched ‘Independents – Powered by Azure’ on Wednesday, as part of its commitment to give agents more “freedom, flexibility, support and tools” for thriving in today’s competitive market.
Edward Leigh, Azure chairman, told TTG Luxury that the company has had “nearly 30 applications this week alone”, and a membership count of 20 agents.
He added that while the growth of the business is “difficult to predict”, he plans to welcome between 25 and 50 independent agents per year.
A key benefit of joining ‘Independents – Powered by Azure’ is its commission policy: advisors will be able to retain 100% of their commission when selling Azure holidays, and will pay a small administrative fee when selling other operators’ holidays.
There will also be no restrictive contracts or joining fees, with agents free to work with partners of their choosing.
Members will have full access to more than 180 suppliers, as well as ‘comprehensive administrative support’. This includes a suite of nifty business development tools, including access to branded client travel app, templates and marketing materials in the company’s SharePoint portal.
Agents will also have flexibility to work remotely and create one’s own schedule. The agency is Abta and Atol protected.
