Hotelier Grace Leo will be the next luxury innovator under the spotlight in TTG Luxury’s In Conversation With... series.

Grace Leo has been at the forefront of hotel design and trends throughout her long and illustrious career, and she is now working on a project in the UK which will see her bring her style and expertise to Henley-on-Thames.

She acquired The Red Lion in the riverside town, and is now preparing to reveal it as The Relais, Henley next summer.

As well as sharing her plans for The Relais and ideas on the impact of the pandemic on travel and hospitality, she will also argue that brands can take this opportunity to stand apart in the market.

The daughter of a Hong Kong hotelier, Leo has been involved in the hotel world all her life. After completing her education at Stanford and Cornell Universities in 1977, she launched her career at InterContinental Hotels and Sheraton, and went on to create and co-author more than 20 independent hotels all over the world.

Her past projects include The Guanahani Hotel in St Barths, The Clarence in Dublin, Hotel Lancaster in Paris, Cotton House, Mustique, and Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square.

Leo will be In Conversation With TTG Luxury editor April Hutchinson, and you can now watch their interview on-demand. The session is available for members of TTG+, which anyone in the industry can join (from £5 a month until 31 January 2021). To find out more, visit the membership page.

Past In Conversation With... sessions have included talks with Tom Barber, co-founder of Original Travel, and Roque Sevilla, the inspirational leader of Metropolitan Touring, entrepreneur and philanthropist, which are also available on-demand for TTG+ members.
