The Sani-Ikos Group is set to expand its UK and Ireland sales team with the addition of six new roles, marking a significant investment in the travel trade.
From March and April 2025, four new regionally based sales managers will be responsible for supporting travel agents by providing dedicated account management.
Led by Andrea Keeble, head of sales and marketing for the UK and Ireland, they will also help agents increase their knowledge of the brand, thus growing the business within the luxury sector.
“We are delighted to welcome our new team members and further solidify the Sani-Ikos Group’s commitment to the trade,” said Lee Barker, regional director of sales and marketing.
“We have significant growth plans over the next few years with three new Ikos properties announced and further developments at Sani Resort. It is an exciting time for our brands and we recognise that our trade partners are a crucial part of this journey and increased support is essential.”
Brendan Mallon, previously of Oasis Travel, will be responsible for tour operators and travel agents in Scotland and Ireland. Meanwhile, Leiza Sullivan joins from APT and will be responsible for travel agents in the north of England.
Karl Oliver will be looking after agents in the Midlands region, having previously managed a Virgin Holidays Store and worked as business development manager at JTA.
Francesca Thompson will take on the role of the sales manager south, joining from Carnival UK, where she currently holds the position of destination innovation executive.
“Travel agents and tour operators are essential to our growth, and true ambassadors of the brand. Being both expert professionals and avid travellers, there is no one better positioned to guide clients towards truly memorable experiences, like those that Sani-Ikos love to offer,” said Antonis Avdelas, chief sales officer.
“Through the expansion of our sales team, we aim to better understand their needs, increasing our responsiveness and enabling them to sell more of the amazing for commercial and strategic account management with tour operator partners.”
“I am thrilled to be joining at such an exciting time of growth and innovation,” said Tasha Smith, joining as sales manager for tour operators. “Having long admired the brand, I am eager to contribute to its continued success and work alongside a talented team. I look forward to strengthening our relationships with trade partners and showcasing the exceptional offerings that set Sani and Ikos apart.”
A second sales support executive based in Thessaloniki, Greece, will also be introduced, to assist the new team with recruitment currently underway.
