The best luxury agencies across the UK & Ireland will be able to take part in a new awards programme this year, with Top 20 Luxury Travel Agencies aiming to create the ultimate list of the trade’s best agent brands and companies.
Top 20 Luxury Travel Agencies is a completely new programme, culminating in the awarding of places on the list across 10 categories, as well as crowning the UK & Ireland’s No. 1 Luxury Travel Agency as the ultimate overall business.
“We regularly hear from luxury agents that they crave a kind of recognition that can help assure their worth in the minds of consumers and offer them the acknowledgement they deserve around their skillset, knowledge and service levels,” said April Hutchinson, editor and publisher of TTG Luxury.
“In acknowledgement of this need, Top 20 will provide agencies with an independent seal of approval, one they can proudly share with customers, as well as elevating their standing in the industry. Winning this award will really put an agency even further on the map, as well as offering team motivation and helping to attract new talent, as well as clients of course.”
One champion per category will receive a coveted spot, with another agency per category also gaining a place on the list, and all 20 agencies will be revealed on 12 November during a sparkling evening ceremony at Royal Lancaster London.
Each company in the running receives one complimentary ticket to attend the event, which will be a completely new evening celebration in London for the luxury community.
All entrants will also receive a complimentary copy of the Top 20 Luxury Travel Agencies Insight Report, which will offer unprecedented benchmarking among their peers. Using expert (anonymous) analysis gleaned from entry data, the report will be released in November and serve as an annual research piece that showcases impactful trends among leading luxury travel agents.
Top 20 Luxury Travel Agencies sponsors will also have access to this report, giving them detailed intelligence on what makes luxury agencies the best, and helping to understand how to work closer with them.
This new initiative sits under Day of Luxury, a dual event that combines TTG Media’s successful one-to-one meetings event Luxpo during the day, followed by the networking and celebration elements of the Top 20 Travel Agencies in the evening.
“We think this powerful combination of recognition, business-building opportunities, networking and insight for luxury agencies is missing in the market at the moment and we aim to fill that gap,” added Hutchinson.
The agency-focused categories here will replace several of the original ones in the TTG Luxury Travel Awards; individual categories will still live within the TTG Luxury Travel Awards, such as Luxury Travel Designer of the Year.
In addition, there will no longer be a Luxury category within the TTG Top 50 Travel Agencies programme, meaning Top 20 Luxury Travel Agencies will become the key place for celebrating excellence among luxury agency businesses in the UK & Ireland.
There are three stages for entry into Top 20 Travel Agencies, including a short first-stage entry form that must be completed by 4 July.
