At least 23 people are reported to have been killed after a gunman opened fire on a bus of Coptic Christians south of Cairo.
Around 25 others are believed to have been injured during the attack after the vehicle was targeted in Minya province, 155 miles away from the Egyptian capital, as the bus was heading towards the Monastery of St Samuel, BBC News reports.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
The shooting follows attacks at Coptic churches in the country in December and April for which Islamic State claimed responsibility.
