The Advantage Travel Partnership has created a range of guidance and assets for agents to help them safely reopen their high street premises from next week.
It comes after non-essential retail outlets, including travel agencies, were given the green light to reopen from Monday (15 June), providing they can meet new Covid-secure guidelines issued by the government.
Advantage is also providing Covid signage and marketing assets, as well as access to preferred supplies offering discounted rates on essential PPE.
The new resources, which are applicable to leisure and business travel agencies, are available to members from the consortium’s dedicated Covid-19 hub.
Kelly Cookes, Advantage leisure director, said: “We know with government restrictions slowly lifting, our members are keen to get their businesses back up and running, while keeping staff and customers safe.
"We have created these guidelines and assets to ensure our members have the practical support in place so that they can reopen their retail units and offices with confidence.”
Both shop and office signage is available; Advantage resources include digital assets for use on social media and on websites, as well as in-store screens and digital window display screensavers which promote the fact the business has reopened and set out steps taken to protect customers, clients and staff.
In-store signage includes door and floor stickers, as well as posters, designed to remind and encourage clients to practise thorough hand hygiene and also observe social distancing requirements.
There are options to suit different brand styles and wording to cover whether an agent is fully opening their business, or operating a closed-door policy.
Meanwhile, to protect both staff and customers, Advantage has compiled a list of preferred PPE suppliers and negotiated discounted rates for relevant equipment such as protective screens, hand sanitiser stands and other signage.
Advantage will also be sharing the latest government advice and guidance to members covering topics such as cleaning and hygiene, and recommendations for spacing within offices and retail units, as and when this information is updated.
