An initial two services per week will increase to three per week from 29 October.
Aer Lingus offers connections to Miami via Dublin from Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds Bradford, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Passengers clear US Customs and Immigration in Dublin, allowing them to enter the US through domestic channels, avoiding sometimes lengthy queues.
Flights to Miami will operate on Friday and Sunday with an additional flight on Wednesday added from 29 October.
Fares start from £229 one way as part of a return trip. Business class fares lead in at £1,999 return, including taxes and charges.
The airline also resumes flights to San Francisco on 25 February.
Bill Byrne, the carrier’s executive vice-president US, said; “We are delighted to be building back our US connectivity this year and there’s no doubt that travel is back for 2022.”
Aer Lingus has partnered with VeriFLY, whose app allows Covid-19 documentation required for a destination to be verified before travel.
