Richards, who joined the homeworking agency in 2020, was described by co-founder Steve Witt as one of the company’s "brightest assets in the darkest of times".
"She has been brilliant throughout the pandemic, both on the trade and operational side of the business," Witt said. "Cherie took us through a difficult period of transition, which has now left us in a wonderful position post-pandemic, with sales booming and the team expanding."
Witt said the business was growing at a "rapid pace" and with its expansion came a "whole new" structure and team.
"As a result, it is a natural time for Cherie to bring her energy and skills to a fresh challenge within the industry and we wish her all the best for the future," he added.
News of Richards’ departure comes as Not Just Travel saw a 200% increase in new members joining in January 2022 compared to pre-pandemic levels in January 2020.
The Travel Franchise, the agency’s recruitment arm, has taken on more than 375 members since March 2019.
