Keighley’s Olive Lounge Travel chose seven customers at random to each receive a gift from a local shop, with winners picked through a Facebook competition which saw more than 800 comments.
Prizes included a bouquet of flowers from local florist Blush, a £25 voucher for Elixir White, a jelly cat teddy from clothing store Debney, a £25 voucher for Coffee and Crumbs, a mist diffuser from hair salon Panache, a £25 voucher for Peonies Cafe and a £25 voucher for the Old Bank restaurant.
Speaking to TTG, Olive Lounge Travel co-founder Gillian Polyhos said the branch wanted to "share its success" by giving back to the local community and supporting other local businesses.
"It’s the little things that make a difference and the ones that people remember about us as a business, especially being in a small village," she said.
"We had an amazing response and I’m sure it’s something we’ll do regularly as part of other charitable work."
She continued: "We reflected on our journey so far, the awards and accolades we’d achieved which were beyond our wildest dreams when we set the business up in 2015, and also the challenges we’ve faced during the pandemic."
After successfully navigating "the most difficult period the travel industry has ever seen", Polyhos said the agency is now in an "incredibly strong position" and looking to grow.
