Barrhead Travel’s SOS – Save On Summer campaign launched at the beginning of June with a new television advertisement, which has been designed to create a sense of urgency while retaining a playful spirit.
The ad debuted on Scottish terrestrial channels earlier this month and has been followed by a series of linear national and regional advertising, as well as on-demand targeted video opportunities.
Alongside television, the campaign is complemented with a suite of additional online and offline activity, which includes dedicated local marketing packs and summer selfie "photo-booth" props for every branch.
Nicki Tempest-Mitchell, sales and marketing director at Barrhead Travel, said: "We are gearing up for a strong summer period over the next few months and the breadth of our marketing activity will reflect this.
"It’s our biggest summer campaign since before the pandemic and our fun creative is designed to pique the interest of existing and new customers."
The key holiday periods so far – Easter and bank holidays – have resulted in record-breaking sales for the agency chain, and Tempest-Mitchell believes the appetite for travel Barrhead has seen so far this year will continue into summer.
