A cancelled Lapland trip led an agency to reward two disappointed children and win a rebooking.
Staff at Worcester agency Arrange My Escape were moved when one family’s trip, including eight-year-old Isla and Woody, six, was curtailed.
The agency’s general manager Jennifer Lynch said: “The parents were so disappointed, because they knew their little girl might be too old to believe in Santa next Christmas.
“With this in mind we decided to put together a special hamper for the children. This was made up of lots of goodies that we already had in store – lots we save from suppliers when they visit, or we collect at training events. It basically only cost us a few pounds.”
The family came to the agency and were read a letter from Santa, also known as staff member Ryan Sowney, while they enjoyed hot chocolate.
“The parents were so grateful, they rebooked the trip for 2021,” Lynch added.
