Aviareps has been appointed as general sales agent (GSA) in the UK for German leisure carrier Condor.
Condor, which was part of the failed Thomas Cook Group, has continued to operate thanks to loans from the German government.
Aviareps’ appointment is part of Condor’s plans to grow its “footprint” into global markets including the UK.
Sasse Carsten, Condor’s head of seat only sales, international markets, said: “We are delighted to add Aviareps UK to our network and look forward to working with their team of highly experienced professionals as we engage more closely with customers and industry partners in this territory.”
Condor received €550 million in funding from the German government in April including €294 million as part of its Corona Shield Programme and €256 million to refinance a bridging loan after Lot Polish Airlines pulled out of a deal to buy Condor.
Martijn Strijker, vice president for northern and western Europe at Aviareps, added: “We are thrilled to bring Condor’s award-wining experience to the UK and, through our dedication and delivery of results, we look forward to seeing this partnership grow even further.”
