The Scottish agency giant has completed refurbs at its Braehead store, while work at Dunfermline and East Kilbride will begin this month.
Meanwhile, another two as-yet-unnamed shops are expected to undergo the revamp this year, Barrhead said on Thursday (13 March).
Each refurbished store will feature a new layout and furniture, with experience-led areas and energy-efficient technologies such as LED lighting and HVAC heating and cooling systems.
“Bricks and mortar retail is the heart of our business,” said managing director Nicki Tempest-Mitchell.
“High street stores need to feel fresh and innovative to help promote high footfall and we’re determined to make sure we’re providing ongoing investment and job opportunities for the communities where we operate.”
Tempest-Mitchell added: “Revamping our core Scottish locations reaffirms our commitment to the wider Scottish economy. It’s particularly exciting to be investing in the high street this year as we celebrate 50 years in business.
“With demand for a reputable local travel agent at an all-time high, we’re excited to continue helping customers plan their travel plans during 2025.”
Last year Barrhead invested £250,000 in the renovation programme, which is expected to continue running alongside its wider expansion plans.
Tempest-Mitchell was promoted to the top job last December after almost four years as sales and marketing director.
In an interview with TTG last month, she said Barrhead would always be a “human-first business” while exploring the potential integration of AI systems in the company’s marketing strategy.
