The association’s chief executive, Clive Wratten, outlined the call in an open letter to Heathrow chief executive John Holland-Kaye on Thursday (18 August). It comes after the airport extended its cap extension until 29 October.
The letter also called for transparency with Travel Management Companies (TMCs) in order to help with long-term planning, and offers a roundtable between Heathrow, commercial airlines and corporate buyers.
Wratten said Heathrow had the "enviable position" of being the "UK’s leading airport", which is now being "eroded daily".
"We, as a sector, want to do everything we can to create a sustainable and manageable pipeline of corporate traffic through your airport," he wrote.
"Time for Heathrow to be transparent with the cap extension and to recognise the impact to business travellers of restricting inventory. Increase the cap in line with increased staffing."
