Effective 31 May 2024, Thompson will step down from his position having played a pivotal role in promoting the US, increasing international visitation and enhancing awareness of the diverse offerings across the country.
"It has been an incredible privilege to serve as president and chief executive of Brand USA," said Thompson. "I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together, and I am confident that the organisation will continue to thrive under new leadership."
The Brand USA Board of Directors, which is searching for a successor, expressed its gratitude to Thompson for his leadership and contributions to the organisation.
