Travel Counsellors has seen a number of experienced agents, displaced by the pandemic, return to travel as part of a wider increase in membership demand.
The homeworking giant said it had already charted a 45% increase in new recruits this year compared with last year, a third of whom it said were experienced agents returning to the sector.
The findings come as the company prepares to host more than 25 "takeover days" across the country to encourage business owners to take part in training initiatives and find out about new opportunities to grow their business – the most it has ever hosted.
Matt Harding, general manager at Travel Counsellors, said: "Our takeover days are the perfect opportunity for us to learn, come together as a community, and meet some of our new colleagues from Holidaysplease too.
"It’s brilliant to see our business owners embrace all of the opportunities and support open to them in terms of expanding their knowledge, enabling them to continue to offer the best and most memorable experiences that their customers could possibly have when travelling."
Headline sponsors of the takeover days include Regent Seven Seas, Hummingbird and Oceania Cruises, and are set to be attended by more than 900 Travel Counsellors business owners, support team colleagues and Holidaysplease agents.
