Hays agent 'shocked' after winning car in company prize scheme

The scheme, which recognises and rewards the work of Hays staff, sees all employees entered into a monthly prize draw.

Richard Farmer of Hays Travel’s Wombwell branch near Barnsley was the lucky recipient of a new set of wheels – with August’s winner due to be gifted a cruise holiday worth £5,000. 

Hays Travel owner and chair Dame Irene Hays, pictured handing the keys to Farmer, said: “We have really been working hard to recognise the contribution of everyone working in the business. 

“We know how all of our people are so focused on giving the best service to our customers, and in the case of head office, supporting everyone else. We wanted to create a sense of excitement and just bring back a bit of fun.”

Farmer added: “I am absolutely over the moon and in shock, I can’t believe it. I have never won anything in my life before.”
