Winners will be revealed at The Roundhouse in London on Wednesday 24th September as part of the Travel Industry Awards 2025.
The John Hays Entrepreneur Award, held in tribute to one of travel’s greatest pioneers, John Hays, recognises the true entrepreneurial spirit of an outstanding personality who has disrupted the travel industry.
Entrants must be the founder or co-founder of their business and be able to demonstrate how they have innovatively built their company and will deliver sustainable future growth.
As part of this award, finalists will be invited to take part in a judging day at Hays Travel head office in Sunderland on September 4th to be interviewed by a panel led by Dame Irene Hays.
The winner of the award will also receive a year’s worth of mentoring support from the Hays Travel board.
Meanwhile, The Diversity Trailblazer Award recognises an individual – whether a junior employee or senior exec – striving to make the industry more inclusive.
The Travel Legend Award honours an industry luminary whose career has had a sustained and lasting contribution to the sector.
Previous winners include Advantage chief Julia Lo Bue-Said, Abta LifeLine director Trudie Clements, Travel Counsellors boss Steve Byrne and ITT chair Steven Freudmann.
All three awards are free to enter and entries close at midnight on 11 August 2025.

The shortlist for the Travel Industry Awards 2025 was announced earlier this month, with judging due to take place in early July.
Tickets are now on sale as this year’s ceremony moves to Camden’s Roundhouse, one of the capital’s most iconic music venues.
