JetBlue is set to offer five daily flights between the UK and US by October as the airline further grows its transatlantic route network.
The carrier launched its Gatwick-Boston service on Thursday (4 August) after adding its first transatlantic routes from New York to both Heathrow and Gatwick last year.
A new Heathrow-Boston service will launch 20 September followed by an additional Gatwick-New York departure starting 29 October.
Chief executive Robin Hayes said the airline’s London-New York service had been “an incredible success”, adding how JetBlue was “thrilled” to now offer Boston - a route he said had “long suffered from high fares by legacy carriers”.
“As Boston’s largest carrier, adding this non-stop service to Gatwick will only make us more relevant in our New England focus city and introduce JetBlue to a largely unserved market,” said Hayes.
