The restructure sees the brand separate its portfolio of breaks into two areas – escorted and coach touring and specialist products.
The escorted and coach touring team will cover the group’s programmes in the UK, Ireland and Europe including its traditional coach breaks, its Heritage & Culture escorted tours and its no-fly river cruising range.
Meanwhile, the specialist product team will be responsible for the group’s events break programme across the UK and Europe including London theatre and attractions breaks, northern lights and solar eclipse holidays.
Blue Bay Travel’s Yianni has been appointed head of touring. He has also held head of product roles at Saga Holidays and Mercury Holidays.
Allen has been promoted from his role as product manager into the new head of specialist position. He joined the JG Travel Group in 2020 from Specialist Leisure Group.
Yianni and Allen will report into JG product director Joanna Roberts, who said: "We wanted to ensure that we created a structure that would allow us to innovate our product lines and build on our strong foundations to develop our future capabilities.
"I’m delighted to welcome Chris Yianni to the team and to be working more closely with Chris Allen as both take up their newly created head of product roles."
