Lord David Blunkett among new speakers confirmed for Fairer Travel Month
Tom ParryFormer home secretary Lord David Blunkett will join TTG’s Fairer Travel Month in July alongside a host of leading speakers across the diversity and sustainability forums.
Blunkett, who served in Tony Blair’s cabinet from 1997-2005 and has been a member of the House of Lords since 2015, will take part in the Fairer Travel Diversity Forum on Monday 8 July discussing accessibility in travel.
As chair of easyJet’s revamped Assisted Travel Advisory Board, Blunkett helps advise the airline and hold it to account around its accessibility policies and service experience for customers with additional needs.
He also chairs Heathrow’s Sustainable Economic Growth Taskforce, a steering group whose remit includes creating greater community engagement and diversity and inclusion at the UK’s largest airport.
