Ryanair has added extra late-summer capacity to Portugal to capitalise on the country being added to the UK’s quarantine-free travel corridor list.
In total, the budget carrier plans to add 14 weekly flights to the Algarve (Faro) from 12 UK airports, with flights operating from 11 September to 24 October.
Two additional weekly flights are being added at Manchester and Newcastle, while Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Prestwick, Liverpool, Southend, Luton and Stansted will each gain an extra weekly flight.
Dara Brady, Ryanair marketing and digital director, said the airline was "thrilled" to strengthen the connection between the UK and the Algarve, with seats from £19.99pp to stimulate demand.
Transport secretary confirmed last Thursday (20 August) Portugal was to be added to the UK’s travel corridor list from 4am on Saturday (22 August).
