Tayside Aviation Flight School (TAFS) confirmed it would no longer be trading in a statement posted to its website on Thursday (20 April).
Geoff Jacobs and Blair Nimmo have been appointed as joint administrators of the school.
"The company has ceased trading with immediate effect. The joint administrators act without personal liability," the statement read.
In response, Balpa confirmed it had contacted members of TAFS to offer them bespoke support and advice.
Wendy Pursey, head of membership and career services at Balpa, said: "This is devastating news for those employed by, or training with Tayside Aviation Flight School.
"We have been in contact with Balpa members to offer them the support they need and to guide them through the options available to them."
The brand’s Dundee centre was a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) accredited Approved Training Organisation (ATO) and provided a full range of pilot courses from private pilot level to commercial pilot level, as well as and flight instructor training on a full-time or part-time basis.
TTG has contacted the CAA for more information.
