That is what TTG is aiming to ascertain in a new anonymous survey exploring how much progress has been made across the sector as travel businesses continue to rebuild.
In October 2020, TTG research revealed 86% of travel industry staff had seen their mental health deteriorate as a result of the pandemic.
Some 71% said they believed mental health was not receiving enough focus or investment within their business, while 55% told us there was not enough emphasis on improving mental health across the industry.
Two-and-a-half years on, TTG is re-examining the sector’s attitudes towards mental health with a new anonymous survey launched on Wednesday (29 March)
The industry has since taken important steps to tackle stigma and boost openness around mental health – including through the launch of TTG and Abta LifeLine’s Get Travel Talking Champions scheme, which has funded mental health first aid training.
Travel staff are being urged to share their views and experiences to help build a wider picture of the industry’s relationship with mental health and voice opinions of what can be done to improve support for those in need.
