Siren’s directors have confirmed the business has been voluntarily liquidated. Insolvency practitioners Antony Batty & Company are handling the process.
The firm’s travel clients included brands such as Scenic and Emerald Cruises and tour operator Rabbie’s.
It comes after part of Siren’s business was transferred to fellow B Corp communications agency Barley Communications in September.
Several members of the former Siren team have already joined Barley, including Stacey Stockwell and Jack Batey. Former Siren director Katie Wright last week confirmed she would be joining Lotus.
A post on the Siren website read: "With great sadness, after 22 years, the directors have taken the difficult decision to place Siren Communications Limited into voluntary liquidation and the company has now ceased trading.
"Please direct all related enquiries to the insolvency practitioners Antony Batty & Company LLP."
The note added new business enquiries should be directed to force4goodconsultancy.com.
Siren’s Twitter/X, Instagram and LinkedIn social media profiles have all been deactivated.
TTG has approached Antony Batty & Company for further comment.
Earlier this year, Siren confirmed part of its business and team would transfer to Barley, providing "an exciting future for our people and clients who will benefit significantly from being part of Barley Communications".
Posting to LinkedIn at the time, Siren founder Rachel O’Connor said Siren would continue as "a smaller and more perfectly formed team with a focus on delivering for our remaining client portfolio".
"I am incredibly grateful to those people I have loved working with over the years and who leave us today and to our wonderful clients that have supported this significant decision," O’Connor added.
O’Connor is the founder of the Force4Good Consultancy. Posting to LinkedIn late on Sunday, O’Connor said the Siren team "fought hard to find a way through and look after each client". "We are grateful for your support over the years, and privileged to have worked for some incredible businesses with some truly extraordinary people," she said.
"Perhaps most of all, we are proud to have provided career development and opportunity for young people and to have supported the early careers of some of the industry’s best communicators. There are people with a stint at Siren now in significant roles across the industry, so we hope its legacy and values will continue through their skills and experience.
"Thank you for your support of the team and all who sailed with and in Siren Comms. We are forever grateful and hope to continue our business friendships into the future. I will remain working with a small team, with the permission of our advisors, with a new offering @force4goodconsultancy.com – more soon."
