Regional director Simon Ferguson will lead an expanded team, which now covers Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Benelux regions along with UK, Ireland, and the Nordic countries.

He said: “I am delighted to be leading the Northern European territory for Travelport.

“With this newly created position we can better serve our customers in the region with more dedicated resources and ultimately grow our business further.”

The promotion comes as part of a shake up for Travelport’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa management team.

The company created a new division for Southern Europe and North Africa, with Damiano Sabatino at the head of the territory while Marcin Pilarski will head up product and marketing globally for agency-facing teams.
