Taking place on the afternoon of Tuesday 13 June, this free-to-attend online training event will bust myths and misconceptions, highlight the destinations marketing themselves to LGBT+ people and offer key tips and advice on how to sell and market to this all important sector.
Taking place in partnership with Visit Malta, the seminar will begin at 2pm, and will feature sessions from Jenny Southan, editor, founder and chief executive of Globetrender who will explore what the LGBT+ travel market looks like in 2023, the needs and requirements of queer travellers and what more the travel industry can be doing to better serve the community.
This will be followed by a session focusing on how agents can better support their LGBT+ clients, with panellists including:
- Adam Bloodworth, travel editor, City AM
- Lucie Preece, senior manager for trade engagement, events and marketing, The Walt Disney Company Ltd
- Jennifer Lynch, general manager of Worcester-based travel agency Arrange My Escape
The seminar will also feature presentations from Visit Malta who will discuss why the country is such a popular destination for LGBT+ travellers and what to look out for in the upcoming EuroPride festivities.
The seminar will be a live event, with agents encouraged to ask questions throughout the afternoon.
Training materials including free marketing assets and access to LGBT+ imagery will also be made available.
