Hosted by AmaWaterways, Travelsphere and Gold Medal, the hour-long webinar on 20 October saw Destina Travel clients tune in to hear about the latest product updates and new measures taken to ensure customers feel confident when travelling during the pandemic.
Destina Travel’s head of leisure sales Sam Tyers bookended the evening with an introduction and Q&A session, while AmaWaterways’ business development manager Rachel Simon, Travelsphere’s head of sales Sarah Weetman and Gold Medal’s trade partnerships manager Matt Greenwood took it in turns to present.
“We’ve already had an email from a client to say him and his wife thoroughly enjoyed the webinar, and that happier times are ahead,” said Tyers.
The suppliers shared separate product overviews to whet attendees’ appetites and inspire them to book with Destina Travel, but all three aligned when addressing consumer confidence.
“The world has changed but our commitment to the health and safety of our guests hasn’t changed,” said Simon, with Weetman adding that “we are in uncertain times and you may change your mind about where you want to travel to” when talking of Travelsphere’s Reassurance Guarantee. The new policy allows customers to change their booking as many times as they wish to free of charge.
Meanwhile, Greenwood shone a light on future bookings: “Destinations are pulling together to make the travel experience much more seamless and we have customers that are booking well into 2022 now – being experts, Gold Medal are able to book that far ahead.”
The TTG Travel Heroes are planning a second virtual joint event with the other travel agency they’re mentoring as part of the initiative this year, Key Holidays in Romiley. Currently, it’s slated to take place in November.
